Commercial Litigation Associate (2-10 Years Experience)
Location: Albany, NY

We are a highly respected, thriving regional law firm representing businesses, business owners, financial institutions, developers and high-net worth individuals and families. It seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing Albany office. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside accomplished attorneys on sophisticated, high-level business litigation matters without the pressure of rigid billable hour requirements.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for an attorney who wants to do meaningful, complex work while developing under experienced mentors. You will gain handsโ€‘on exposure across all phases of litigation and play a critical role in driving client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy
  • Handle discovery processes, including e-discovery and document review
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial
  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients on case strategy
Ideal Background
  • 2-10 years of experience in commercial or business litigation
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Experience with pleadings, motion practice, discovery, trial prep
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar
