Meyers, Roman, Friedberg & Lewis is looking for a mid-level litigation associate with 4-7 years of experience who's ready to take ownership of cases, sharpen trial skills, and work closely with seasoned litigators on complex matters.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants real responsibility, client exposure, and a seat at the table when strategy decisions are made-not just document review from the sidelines.
What You'll Do
  • Handle all phases of litigation, from early case strategy through resolution
  • Draft and argue substantive motions and briefs
  • Take and defend depositions (fact and expert)
  • Manage written discovery efficiently and strategically
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials
  • Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
  • Collaborate with partners and attorneys on case planning and execution
  • Track time accurately and in line with firm standards

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • 4-7 years of solid civil litigation experience (state and/or federal court)
  • Proven experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple matters with minimal hand-holding
  • Professional, Practical, and client-focused mindset
  • Trial experience is a plus - but not required
  • Active Ohio law license and good standing (or ability to waive in promptly)
