The ideal candidate will have three to four years of business and/or real estate transaction experience. Cavitch prepares our Associates to be some of the best lawyers in the area by balancing learning opportunities with autonomy because our Associate Attorneys are given the freedom to handle all aspects of client matters. When you join the firm, you will be joining a team of Associates who work closely together on client matters, client marketing events, committees, and planning outings for the firm. You will also receive great mentoring and development opportunities as you work alongside award winning attorneys and shareholders.

Generally, you will be involved with:

• Purchase and sale agreements

• Commercial leases

• Operating agreements and shareholder agreements

• Loan documents and financing agreements

• Service contracts and vendor agreements

• Handle commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing.

• Conduct due diligence reviews, including title, survey, zoning, and entity matters and prepare schedules.

• Advise clients regarding business formation, governance, and day-to-day operational issues.

• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and development projects.

• Employment and consulting agreements.

• Coordinate with lenders, title companies, brokers, and opposing counsel.

• Perform legal research and prepare memoranda, correspondence, and transactional documents.

• Support senior attorneys in complex transactions and client matters.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.

• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various business-related matters.

• Stay updated on relevant legal developments, regulations, and case law.

• Assist senior attorneys in mentoring and training junior associates and legal staff.


Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the state bar of Ohio and in good standing.

• 3 to 4 years of experience practicing law with a focus on business/real estate.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools and technology.

• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic legal team.

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work product.
