The Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our Legal Team as a Litigation Paralegal. This is a hybrid role based in Valley City, OH or Towson, MD. You'll get to:
  • Assist attorneys and other legal professionals in the management of the Company's global litigation docket, disputes, and other matters.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support litigation strategies.
  • Assist in the timely and adequate preparation, review, organization, and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, motions, and trial documents.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, records, and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the drafting and editing of correspondence, memos, and reports.
  • Coordinate and manage the scheduling of meetings, depositions, hearings, appointments, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external parties to gather information and facilitate legal processes.
  • Monitor and track regulatory changes and updates relevant to the company's operations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Global Litigation Group.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the leadership of the Legal Team.

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate from an accredited program, or in process of obtaining same
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm or in a corporate legal department

  • Extensive experience with legal research, case management, and e-discovery tools and software
  • A desire to learn new things
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, detailed oriented, and ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner
  • The ability to work effectively in a team setting.
