Job Title: Chinese Mandarin Operational Language Analyst 1

Position Description

You will support National Security Objectives where you’ll get to use your foreign language skills to research, translate/transcribe/gist, report, and analyze foreign intelligence. Utilize your abilities in cryptologic language analysis to process audio and/or graphic materials to provide key target insight to decision makers in support of SIGINT operations.

Location: Ft. Meade, MD; Wright Patterson AFB, OH; Ft. Gordon, GA; Hill AFB, UT

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Language test scores taken within the last two (2) years equivalent to the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Skill. Minimum proficiency is ILR 2 listening/reading target language.
  • Minimum of 2 years applicable operational experience with Associate's degree. Two additional years' operational experience (4 years total) may be considered in lieu of degree. Operational experience must be performing crypto language processing (see below*)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Relevant military MOSs: 35P, 1N3X1, 1A8X1, CTI, 267X or equivalent

  • Oral interpretation from target language to English and vice versa

  • Audio or text?translation/transcription?of language materials

  • Quality control reviews of translations, transcriptions, or reports

  • Mentoring language analysts in language processing

  • Formal instruction of language in platform or distance learning environments

  • Target and network research, development, and analysis

  • Identification and characterization of Network Operations threat actors

  • SIGINT reporting

*Crypto experience includes scanning, recovering EEIs, gisting, translating/transcribing, compiling working aids and databases.
