Overview
A global financial institution is seeking an Associate to join its Liquidity Risk Governance team. This role offers high visibility and ownership in enhancing liquidity risk frameworks, policies, and governance, while working closely with senior management, Treasury, and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Support assessments of liquidity risk profile and market conditions through special projects with senior management
• Maintain and improve governance frameworks, policies, and independent review standards
• Review and challenge first-line activities, including Contingency Funding Plan (CFP) and related testing
• Manage issue remediation by coordinating stakeholders and ensuring timely resolution
• Prepare clear and concise materials for governance committees and senior management
• Support regulatory and internal committee reporting, including cross-functional coordination
• Assist in execution of Liquidity Risk RCSA and related documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Bilingual Japanese/English (professional proficiency)
  • 1-5 years of experience in banking, financial services, consulting, or a related field
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise materials for internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Exposure to treasury, liquidity risk, balance sheet management, or related areas
  • Familiarity with basic banking products (loans, deposits, derivatives, etc.)
  • Understanding of regulatory or risk management concepts is a plus
