Job description

Summary of Position
Lionsgate is currently seeking a Senior Director of Digital Insights who will be responsible for driving social and earned media insights for the Motion Picture Group. This role will translate social conversation, sentiment, and marketplace signals into actionable insights that help shape marketing strategy, campaign optimization, and wider business decision-making.
Reporting to the SVP of Global Research & Digital Insights, the ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor real-time audience reactions, conversation trends, sentiment, and creative performance metrics across social platforms and other audience feedback sources to uncover insights that inform campaign strategy and tactics.
  • Lead the development of reporting infrastructure and dashboards to monitor KPIs and evaluate campaign performance across a title's lifecycle.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives and serve as a strategic advisor to senior marketing leadership by providing recommendations that influence campaign decisions, audience targeting, and messaging.
  • Track industry trends, audience behavior, and platform dynamics to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic implications for upcoming film releases.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors and agency partners, ensuring data integrity, methodological rigor, and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with counterparts in digital marketing, paid media, and marketing strategy to develop measurement frameworks and provide insights that inform business decisions.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle for multiple concurrent initiatives, including defining timelines, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring deliverables meet business objectives.
  • Manage and mentor the Associate Manager of Digital Insights, with a focus on growth, learning, analytical excellence, and professional development.
  • Lead the team's budget in partnership with the Associate Manager of Digital Insights and the Marketing Finance team, including vendor spend, renewals, and ongoing budget tracking.

Qualifications and Skills
  • BS/BA required
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, insights, social listening, or other intelligence roles, preferably within the media and entertainment industry
  • Strong proficiency with social listening and analytics tools (e.g., ListenFirst, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Netbase, Sprinklr)
  • Experience with Boolean logic and social listening taxonomies
  • Proven track record of using social media metrics to build benchmarks, measure ROI, and translate into clear strategic recommendations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and presentation tools; experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, Tableau) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) is a plus

Additional Requirements
This position requires five (5) days per week in office.
