Summary of Position
Lionsgate is seeking a Director, Global Research to report to the SVP, Ratings/Research. This role is a senior research leader within the Global Distribution group, responsible for overseeing performance analytics across linear and streaming platforms. The Director will work on a highly collaborative team that works across global Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Corporate Strategy teams to deliver executive level insights that shape distribution strategy and content valuation across the ecosystem. The role synthesizes complex audience, performance, and marketplace data into clear, actionable insights that drive informed decision making.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic analysis and executive reporting of linear and streaming content performance across domestic and international markets
  • Oversee tracking and performance of current and library TV and Film
  • Translate complex ratings and viewership data into actionable insights, enabling cross-functional teams to think more strategically about sales, content licensing, and positioning.
  • Monitor and evaluate global marketplace trends across broadcast, cable, FAST, AVOD, SVOD, and emerging digital platforms
  • Partner with internal subscription channel teams to provide performance reporting, subscriber analytics, and growth insights
  • Prepare and deliver executive-ready presentations and performance updates for senior leadership
  • Design and implement advanced research tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to enhance analytical capabilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop research team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture, spanning across the London office
  • Serve as a key research liaison across business units, ensuring alignment between data insights and strategic priorities

Qualifications and Skills
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in media research, ratings analytics, or related field, preferably within television or streaming
  • Deep expertise in TV and digital viewership measurement, ratings methodologies, and performance benchmarking
  • Strong quantitative acumen with advanced analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Demonstrated experience synthesizing large, complex datasets into clear strategic insights
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills at an executive level
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple high-priority initiatives
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a strategic, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Passion for film, television, and the evolving global media landscape
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Statistics, Social Sciences, or Media Studies) preferred
