Job description

Overview
i3 is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator. The selected candidate will provide technical expertise supporting information system components, infrastructure integration and maintenance to satisfy architectural and business requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Perform implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.
  • Manage a mixed Linux and Windows closed-network environment that includes VMware vSphere and VDI Infrastructure.
  • Maintain Ansible Automation Platform for configuration management and automation.
  • Manage the functionality of servers and computers running Windows/Linux operating systems such as (RHEL, Windows 10/11, Windows Server) within an Active Directory environment.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
  • Implements Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF and system hardening.
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience or 7+ year's equivalent experience.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a team environment.
  • Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Strong Systems Administration and Virtualization principles and troubleshooting experience.
  • Good working knowledge of cybersecurity practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, hardening, documentation).
  • Must have DoD 8570/8140 IA Certification (Security+ CE).
  • Operating System certification required.
  • Ability to manage a large-scale, complex computing environment.
  • Ability to build, standardize, and configure Windows and Linux Operating Systems in various technical use cases.

Preferred:
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift, VSan, App Volumes, Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Cisco UCS management, Cisco networking and vSphere distributed switches with multiple VLANS.
