Position : Sr. Solaris Admin
Location: Willis Tower Chicago, IL
Duration: 12 months plus
Required Skills:
• SUN Solaris 11,10,9 Zones/Containers, High Availability), Veritas Cluster V6, V5
• Experience in planning, installation, migration, upgrade OS (Solaris, Linux).
• Ability to write from scratch as well as read/update/modify existing scripts for Perl, ksh, bash, Python.
• Architecture and deployed Solaris zones and container environment on SUN Fire V880's & V890's.
• Extensive experience in Veritas File system, Volume Manager, SAN (EMC & IBM TotalStorage DS4000/6000), Legato Backup, Veritas Netbackup, TSM and Capacity Planning / Performance and Tuning.
• Strong knowledge of Korn Shell & Perl scripting, and C programming.
• Very good in System Monitoring ( Nagios, Cacti, Zabbix, Tivoli)
• Strong knowledge of Puppet, BigBrother, HPSA (HP Server Automation)
• Working knowledge of other Internet Protocols (i.e. Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, Telnet, SMTP, SNMP)
• Good knowledge of web productions (Apache, Tomcat)
