Job description

The Intermediate Linux Administrator will support the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC) on a full-time, on-site basis in Monterey, California. System administration support is needed for the Cross Domain Solution (CDS) environment located at FNMOC. This position will require regular review and maintenance of the CDS environment, implementation of tasking and updates, and providing emergency support as needed. The performer should expect occasional travel to Stennis Space Center, MS, including minimally a 1-week trip for training at the start of the task. Experience with CDS administration is a plus but not required. The client intends to provide vendor training on Commander Navy Meteorology Oceanography Command (CNMOC) CDS systems to cover specialized procedures needed to manage the CDS environment.
Salary range: $110-115K

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CDS administration

  • Training and experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science OR CompTIA Security+ Certification

  • Training in Red Hat Enterprise Linux

  • 3-years of experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux administration

  • Knowledge of Apace NiFi software components and configuration

  • Strong communication skills

  • Clearance: TS/SCI Eligibility
