Job description

Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to manage and maintain dedicated infrastructure systems. The role involves ensuring system functionality, monitoring network performance, and identifying areas for improvement in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities:
• Install systems on dedicated infrastructure, ensure the infrastructure is functional and available, and update and patch critical systems.
• Provide customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
• Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.
• Accomplish work without considerable direction.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience with systems administration
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS
• Experience with managing virtual machines and VMware ESXi
• Knowledge of Linux iptables, networking configuration, and DNS
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification within 60 days of start date
Preferred:
• Experience with AWS DevOps, Cloud Formation
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as SaltStack or Ansible
• Experience with Python, YAML, or JSON
• DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification
