Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Architect - Senior Technical Advisor to provide senior-level technical advisory and cybersecurity architecture support to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Army Cryptologic Office (ACO). This position serves as a trusted advisor to Government leadership by providing strategic guidance across cybersecurity, SIGINT integration, enterprise architecture, operational modernization, and acquisition initiatives that enhance mission effectiveness across Army, NSA, ARCYBER, and Joint cyber operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior Government leaders, engineering organizations, acquisition professionals, and mission stakeholders to evaluate emerging technologies, identify capability gaps, and develop modernization strategies that strengthen enterprise cybersecurity and operational readiness. This position is full-time on-site at Fort Meade, Maryland.
Position Responsibilities:
The Cybersecurity Architect - Senior Technical Advisor serves as the principal technical advisor supporting cybersecurity modernization, SIGINT integration, enterprise architecture, and acquisition initiatives across INSCOM-ACO mission programs. The position provides strategic guidance to Government leadership by assessing cybersecurity and SIGINT capabilities, identifying operational and technical gaps, and developing modernization strategies that improve enterprise resilience and mission effectiveness. Working collaboratively across Army, NSA Cybersecurity Directorate, ARCYBER, USCYBERCOM, acquisition organizations, and mission partners, the architect integrates cybersecurity policies, enterprise architectures, and emerging technologies into operational planning and execution. Through executive briefings, technical assessments, architecture recommendations, and strategic planning support, this role enables informed decision-making, accelerates secure capability delivery, and advances long- term cyber modernization objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Clearance: U.S. Citizen, SCI cleared within last 2 years.
  • Location: Full time on-site in Ft Meade, Maryland.
  • Experience and knowledge:
    • Minimum of 10 years supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or cyber mission organizations.
    • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity operations, SIGINT operations, and cyber mission integration.
    • Experience supporting, Army, INSCOM, NSA, ARCYBER, USCYBERCOM, or other Intelligence Community organizations.
    • Extensive knowledge of Army, INSCOM, NSA, ARCYBER, and DoD cybersecurity missions, authorities, and organizational structures.
    • Experience supporting strategic planning, capability development and enterprise modernization initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of the relationship between Cybersecurity, SIGINT, and acquisition activities.
    • Working knowledge of:
      • Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Zero Trust Architecture
      • Cyber Operations
      • SIGINT Operations
      • Software Acquisition and Modernization
      • Advisory and Strategy
      • NSANET, JWICS, SIPRNET, Palantir, ArcGis
    • Exceptional analytical, written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate independently within dynamic, mission-focused environments with minimal Government oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clearance: Polygraph within last 5 years
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or related field.
  • Certification: Security+ or equivalent
  • Experience and Knowledge :
    • 10 or more years' experience supporting INSCOM ACO, ARCYBER, NSA, or USCYBERCOM.
    • JPME II Qualified or equivalent (National War College, JCWS, etc.)
    • Experience with software acquisition modernization and technology transition.
    • Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity architecture.
    • Experience conducting supply chain risk assessments for mission-critical systems.
    • Experience supporting acquisition planning, technology transition, or enterprise cybersecurity modernization.
    • Experience developing executive-level briefings and strategic planning documents.

$215,000 - $230,000 a year
Please note: The listed salary range reflects our market-based compensation structure. Final compensation will depend on business needs, local market conditions, internal equity, and the selected candidate's skills, education, and experience.
