About Lingo
Lingo, developed by Abbott, is a new consumer health and wellness platform built on years of biosensor innovation. Using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) biosensor and the Lingo app, it helps people understand their metabolic health by tracking glucose in real time and translating patterns into simple, actionable insights and coaching (including Lingo Count). Lingo is also working on new sensors (e.g., Ketone, Lactate) and new nutritional coaching features to help people improve their metabolic health.

The Opportunity
Our location in Alameda, California, has an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant II to the Divisional Vice President of Lingo Biowearables. This individual will be involved in executive team meetings, often serving as a key point of contact with other executive team members to ensure they stay on point. Beyond that, the Assistant embodies the best of the company's culture and serves as an ambassador for the executive and team.
What You'll Work On
  • Executive-level administrative support: Own the day-to-day administrative partnership for the Divisional VP and office operations with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness.
  • Calendar & scheduling management: Expertly manage complex calendars, make judgment calls, strategically prioritize appointments, act as a gatekeeper for inbound time requests, and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts. Schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders; may include managing the executive inbox and ghostwriting.
  • Leadership meeting logistics & follow-through: Coordinate key meetings end-to-end-scheduling, agendas, compiling materials, taking notes, capturing action items, clarifying owners and deadlines, and driving follow-ups with relevant stakeholders.
  • Project coordination: Provide practical task and project management support across multiple moving parts, working cross-functionally to ensure priorities progress and projects are seen through to completion.
  • Hiring coordination: Support hiring efforts by coordinating interview schedules and logistics for both candidates and interviewers.
  • Budget & admin operations (as needed): Support tracking budget expenditures and maintaining organized records.
  • Presentations: Create and coordinate board and leadership presentations/materials as requested.

Education and experience you'll bring
Required Qualifications
  • College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 7+ years of previous executive administrative experience or equivalent.
  • Operates with little instruction and minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and decorum skills with the capacity to engage with a broad range of employees, customers, and government officials.
  • Track record of managing highly confidential information, strong capacity to manage workflow & timelines, schedule management, and priority setting of the office.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
  • AI proficiency.

  • Responsiveness and flexibility: Comfortable with rapid changes and time-sensitive communication via email/text when needed.
