What is a linehaul office?

A Linehaul Office is a central operations hub within a transportation or logistics company that manages and coordinates the movement of freight between terminals, typically over long distances. The office is responsible for scheduling, tracking, and optimizing linehaul routes, ensuring that shipments are delivered efficiently and on time. Staff in a Linehaul Office handle communications between drivers, dispatchers, and other departments to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations. This role is critical in the supply chain, especially for companies involved in less-than-truckload (LTL) and long-haul freight services.

What is the difference between Linehaul Office vs Linehaul Driver?
