Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
  • Join Trinity Health Oakland as the Administrative Director, Cardiovascular Service Line. This is an opportunity to support and advance a nationally recognized heart and vascular program in Pontiac, MI, known for its compassionate care, subspecialty expertise, commitment to research and education, and growing regional presence.
  • This role will play a key part in driving strategic growth, enhancing patient access, and supporting excellence across the service line. Our cardiovascular program offers comprehensive heart and vascular care, including advanced diagnostics, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, and rehabilitation services-all delivered by a team of highly skilled specialists. Trinity Health Oakland is committed to innovation, quality outcomes, and compassionate care, serving as a trusted leader in cardiovascular health for the Pontiac community and beyond.
  • The Development Director for our Cardiology Service Line is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operational flow across all departments within the Cardiology Service Line, strategic planning and integration of product line services within hospital operations.

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Master of Science in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, a related area or equivalent.
  • Licensure / Certification: Current licensure to practice applicable clinical field in the state of Michigan preferred, if applicable.
  • Experience: Five or more years of progressively more responsible management experience and demonstrated leadership, human relations and communications skills. Experience in relevant service line clinical programs. Experience in financial analysis of revenue generating clinical departments and development of growth strategies and profitability analysis.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Directs long and short-term planning activities for assigned product line working in conjunction with Sr. Leadership, Service Line Directors, Managers, Physicians and community contacts.
  • Serves as a catalyst between hospital departments, physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of service and care while expanding and improving the product line.
  • Plan and direct the development of the product line across the continuum of clinical functions to achieve objectives derived from the organization's strategic plan for product line growth and development.
  • Develop and implement long and short-term goals that are consistent with the organizational needs for the product line by working with cross continuum clinical functions and coordinating activities with operational care givers, physicians and other key personnel.
  • Ensure successful implementation of organizational change through appropriate utilization of resources and effective application of project management and change strategies.
  • Collaborate with staff to create a motivating environment that supports the value system of shared governance, patient driven care, continuous quality improvement and professional practice.
  • Develop strategies and implement plans for product line growth and expansion that consider financial investment/return, staffing, facility, finance and legal implications and needs. Works cross-functionally to identify and address these issues as they relate to the product line.
  • Enhance medical staff and other health team members relations. Effectively manages issues and conflicts that impact patient care processes, affect customer satisfaction or have ethical/legal ramifications. Mentor staff in the areas of conflict resolution, problem-solving, and customer relations.
