As an Audit and Assurance intern, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable insight and hands-on experience in the world of Audit and Assurance, while becoming part of a supportive team that will guide you each step of the way.

During your time at LGA, you will:

  • Hands-On Experience: Get directly involved in audits and audit reviews, gaining practical knowledge and skills essential for a successful career in audit and assurance.
  • Develop Key Skills: Become familiar with various aspects of the audit service line, working on diverse projects that will broaden your understanding of audit processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with experienced A&A professionals who will mentor and support you as you grow your technical expertise.
  • Become Part of the Team: Be fully integrated into our culture, attend firm events, and build meaningful relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Career Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions, receive performance feedback, and get the opportunity to explore various pathways within public accounting.

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Has a strong interest in public accounting and working towards developing an awareness in the A&A arena to plan and perform accounting services, audit, review, and compilation engagements in a number of different industries (i.e., employee benefit plans, non-profit organizations, small & medium sized for-profit businesses)
  • Exude intellectual curiosity; display strong analytical and attention to detail skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate confidently and concisely with various levels of firm management in both written and verbal form
  • Be self-motivated and energic with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment
  • Produce high quality work which adheres to the relevant professional standards, with direct instruction
  • Be adept at utilizing various A&A software as well as Adobe, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates urgency in completing assigned tasks, including timely followup of review notes and revisions
  • Demonstrate a willingness to ask appropriate questions when necessary
  • Demonstrate an ability to balance multiple tasks with effective time management skills
  • Eagerness to contribute to a fast-growing, team environment
  • Able to work on-site for 32 hours per week (Monday-Thursday)

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related concentration
