Milwaukee Plating Company

Job description

The Opportunity

We know that skilled electroplaters are a rare breed. That’s why we are looking for Process Line Operators - individuals who understand the rhythm, precision, and discipline of a manufacturing line. Whether your background is in chemical processing, industrial food production, heat treating, or wastewater treatment, your “process-first” mindset is exactly what we need.

We will provide the specific technical training on electroplating chemistry; you provide the mechanical aptitude and the eagle eye for quality.

About Us

Milwaukee Plating Company is a premier provider of industrial rack electroplating services with over 70 years of experience in the Milwaukee area. ISO 9001:2015 certified and recognized annually for excellence in environmental compliance, we serve a diverse range of industries including automotive, medical, and consumer goods. We are a “true job shop” where no two days are the same, offering a stable, local career path for those who take pride in American Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

· Line Management: Monitor and operate electroplating lines ensuring parts move through chemical baths according to strict timing and sequence protocols.

· Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of finished parts for defects like adhesion issues, burning, or uneven coverage. Verify plating thickness using provided equipment.

· Chemical Monitoring: Assist in checking tank levels and temperatures.

· Loading/Unloading: Efficiently rack and unrack metal components, ensuring proper electrical contact and orientation for optimal plating.

· Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, recording soak times, current density (amps), and part counts.

What We’re Looking For

While electroplating experience is a huge plus, we are highly interested in candidates with experience in process-driven environments, such as:

· Chemical process or mixing.

· Industrial wash lines or coating operations.

· Heat treating or metal finishing.

· Food/beverage processing (where timing and sanitation are critical).

Technical Requirements

· High School diploma or GED

· Math Skills: Ability to handle basic calculations (conversions, percentages, and measurements).

· Attention to Detail: In this industry, 30 seconds too long in a tank can ruin a batch of parts.

· Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50lbs.

Why Join Us?

· Competitive Pay (commensurate with experience).

· Position Growth: We are committed to cross-training you into an electroplater, a high-demand trade skill, with certification possible.

· Career Growth: we are company that is actively growing with further advancement possible as the company grows.

Are you ready to trade a standard assembly line for a specialized technical trade? Apply today!
Milwaukee Plating Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate the diversity of the Milwaukee workforce.
