Job description

Job Title: Account Manager (Franchise Development)

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Residents only, 50 States)

Department: Account Services – Franchise & Enterprise Development

About the Role

Are you passionate about digital marketing and helping businesses grow? Do you have experience leading franchise or non-franchise enterprise accounts? If so, Ignite Visibility—a top US-based digital marketing agency—is hiring a high-caliber Account Manager (Franchise Development). This position is fully remote for U.S. residents residing in any of the 50 states.

At Ignite Visibility, we are shifting our account management standard away from reactive activity management toward strategic partnership, commercial ownership, and proactive client growth.

The Account Manager (Franchise Development) is responsible for developing and managing high-value client relationships that promote long-term retention, revenue growth, and account loyalty. You will serve as a trusted business advisor to corporate franchise brands, franchise development networks, and enterprise accounts—taking full commercial ownership over client retention, churn reduction, renewals, and upsells while driving maximum lifetime value and client satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partnership & Advisory

  • Advisor, Not an Order-Taker: Serve as the strategic day-to-day point of contact and trusted advisor for key accounts, corporate stakeholders, and executive sponsors.

  • End-to-End Strategy Leadership: Manage client expectations and multi-channel strategies (Paid Media, SEO, Web Dev, Analytics) from inception through delivery.

  • Margin & Business Alignment: Deeply understand client business models and ensure engagements maintain company margin goals and account profitability.

2. Proactive Retention & Loyalty

  • Proactive Risk Sensing: Monitor account health, identify potential friction points early, and resolve challenges before they become churn risks.

  • Executive Listening & NPS: Lead client check-in calls and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Manage client satisfaction touchpoints through surveys, Executive Sponsor sync calls, and exit reviews to maximize NPS and client advocacy.

  • Cross-Vertical Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration across internal production verticals and coach teams (pre-call syncs, on-call guidance, post-call reviews) to solve client problems and surface growth opportunities.

3. Expansion & Commercial Ownership

  • Own the Growth Motion: Own the client upsell and renewal process end-to-end, actively achieving assigned growth and expansion revenue goals.

  • Commercial Metrics & Forecasting: Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly revenue results, retention rates, and annual forecasts).

  • Referenceability & Advocacy: Drive new business growth by fostering client loyalty, generating case studies, and partnering with the sales team on strategic presentations and proposals.

The Candidate Profile: What We Hire For

Beyond experience, our most successful Account Managers embody specific character traits and commercial intangibles:

  • Likeable & Strong: The warmth to build deep, lasting trust alongside the backbone to hold your ground during tough business conversations.

  • Confidence & Presence: Comfortable owning the room, leading executive calls, and having direct conversations with C-suite stakeholders without needing to defer or escalate.

  • Commercial Instinct: An intuitive ability to read a client's business model, spot upsell signals naturally, and sense portfolio risks before they appear on paper.

  • Resilience & Composure: Calm under pressure. Bounces back quickly from difficult calls or unexpected shifts, resetting with solution-focused energy.

  • Smart & Curious: Fast on your feet, highly inquisitive, and eager to connect the dots between digital performance data and real business outcomes.

  • Coachability & Drive: Holds a high personal standard for work quality, seeks feedback actively, and brings a continuous hunger to learn and win.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years as an account lead, Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or Account Executive in a digital marketing/advertising agency supporting franchise or B2B/B2C enterprise clients.

  • Channel Expertise: Strong, well-rounded understanding of digital marketing channels including Paid Media, SEO, Website Development, Analytics, and UX.

  • Commercial Track Record: Demonstrated experience and success in sales, account growth, upselling, and owning client retention metrics.

  • Strategic Communication: Exceptional listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities with proven success building rapport with business executives.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Highly proactive in identifying business development opportunities, juggling complex agency projects, and navigating high-growth environments.

  • Detail & Big-Picture Balance: Sharp attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to grasp overarching client business goals.

  • Location: Must be a legal resident currently residing in one of the 50 United States.

Why Ignite Visibility?
  • Industry Acclaim: Top-Tier Franchise Marketing Supplier by Entrepreneur Magazine (2018–2024), 2x Landy Award Winner, and 8-time Inc. 5000 honoree.

  • Growth & Leadership: Named one of the Best Places to Work and Fastest-Growing Private Companies in San Diego.

  • Culture: Collaborative, growth-focused environment with a 100% remote workforce model.
