Job description

ABOUT BASETEN

Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the worlds most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We’re growing quickly and recently raised our 1.5B Series F, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Enterprise Account Executive to help build and scale Baseten’s Enterprise go-to-market motion. You’ll own new business in verticals where AI adoption is accelerating including enterprise software, financial services, and big tech.

This is a high-autonomy role where you’ll contribute directly to our Enterprise GTM strategy—identifying new use cases within your verticals, winning lighthouse customers that become references for their industries, and feeding signal back to product and engineering to shape our roadmap. You’ll work alongside Baseten’s founders, forward-deployed engineering team, and GTM leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Own a revenue target and all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to close, including outbounding and engaging Tier 1 accounts in your assigned verticals
  • Drive new logo acquisition and strategic expansion within key accounts, prioritizing organizations that can serve as lighthouse customers within their industries
  • Become a trusted advisor to customers—understand their unique infrastructure needs, co-innovate on solutions, and lead with conviction by providing clear recommendations grounded in deep industry expertise
  • Partner with Baseten’s forward-deployed engineers to run technical evaluations, POCs, and architecture reviews that earn customer confidence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to bring new solutions to market, develop sales collateral, and refine go-to-market tactics for industry verticals
  • Continuously share learnings with the broader team—what’s working, what’s blocking deals, and best practices for selling into complex organizations
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • 8+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience in technology, preferably selling infrastructure, API/platform solutions, or developer tooling into large, complex organizations
  • A track record of managing complex sales cycles and closing seven- and eight-figure deals by navigating multi-stakeholder buying committees and crafting tailored solutions
  • Experience selling into at least one of: financial services, healthcare/life sciences, insurance, government, or similarly regulated industries
  • Strong technical acumen - you have experience ramping into highly technical sales environments, and will be able to get comfortable holding your own in conversations about model serving, GPU infra, latency and API architecture.
  • A strategic, analytical approach to assessing markets combined with creative, tactical execution to capture opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships from ICs to C-level executives
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and comfort with high autonomy in a fast-moving environment where the playbook is still being written
NICE TO HAVE
  • Direct experience selling AI/ML infrastructure, cloud compute, or model deployment platforms
BENEFITS
  • Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity.
  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
  • Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
  • Company-facilitated 401(k)
  • Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).
