Job description



TBS is a leader in Fabrication, Powder Coating and Media Blasting, serving a diverse range of customers including industrial, heavy machinery, commercial, municipal, as well as the public.

A General Laborer is a versatile and dependable team member who supports operations across multiple areas of the shop. This position involves assisting with various production tasks such as preparation, packaging, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hardworking, and able to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.

This position is for 2nd shift. Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily production activities including prepping, packing, and organizing parts or materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, including sweeping, waste removal, and general upkeep.
  • Support basic facility maintenance such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs as directed.
  • Safely operate basic hand tools and equipment as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of facility maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment.
  • Dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time and perform physical movements such as bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.
  • Frequent standing, lifting, and bending required.
