Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Lift Experience is responsible for the year-round supervision and operation of resort lifts, ticket/pass verification and all Lift Experience department employees. This role is a member of the mountain operations team with additional resort related oversight duties.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $ 75,000 - $ 100,000 + Annual bonus 

  • Employment Type: Year Round  

  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  

  • Housing Availability: No  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead safe, effective, year-round lift operations, including ticket/pass verification, while ensuring full alignment with company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operating procedures.
  • Develop and manage departmental financial performance, including building, adjusting, and executing budgets as well as delivering on project cost and timeline commitments for assigned capital an construction initiatives.
  • Partner across the resort to drive operational excellence, maintaining strong working relationships and communication practices with lift maintenance, product sales and services, and other operational teams to ensure seamless execution and guest experience.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and agency coordination, including training staff on applicable federal,state, and local requirements.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing team, including implementing training programs, reinforcing performance management standards, and developing future leaders within the department and broader
    organization.
  • Drive service excellence and guest experience standards, setting expectations, coaching teams, and motivating employees to consistently deliver a high-quality guest experience.
  • Leverage enterprise best practices and continuous improvement, participating in company centers of excellence and implementing initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and service delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a ski resort or similar operational environment, including responsibility for safety, guest experience, and financial performance (typically 5+ years in supervisory/leadership roles)
  • Advanced skiing/riding ability in variable terrain and conditions, with the ability to operate effectively in a mountain environment
  • Strong communication skills in English, including the ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with employees, leadership, and external partners
  • Working knowledge of business and operational systems, including Microsoft Office, Smartsheet tools, or similar platforms
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs

The expected pay range is $ 75,000 - $ 100,000 + Annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
