CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) – BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

JOB OVERVIEW
Seeking an accomplished Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic, operational, financial, and clinical leadership for a behavioral health organization. The CEO will be responsible for overall business performance, quality of care, regulatory compliance, staff development, physician relations, growth initiatives, and achievement of organizational objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide overall executive leadership and operational oversight
• Develop and execute strategic business plans and organizational goals
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue growth initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and licensing standards
• Maintain survey readiness and quality improvement programs
• Lead business development, service line growth, and operational expansion initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare partners, referral sources, and community stakeholders
• Recruit, develop, and retain physicians, clinical leaders, and key staff members
• Direct payer contract negotiations and performance management
• Lead patient safety, risk management, compliance, and QAPI initiatives
• Ensure organizational excellence in patient care outcomes and operational efficiency
• Provide leadership and accountability for executive and management teams

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Clinical, Marketing, or related field preferred
• MBA, MHA, or related advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of executive healthcare leadership experience
• Previous CEO, COO, Hospital Administrator, or comparable senior leadership experience required
• Strong behavioral health leadership experience required
• Demonstrated financial management and P&L responsibility
• Experience with accreditation, licensure, compliance, and regulatory agencies
• Strong business development and operational leadership background
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-management skills
