Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrical BIM Engineer in Greensboro, NC for a direct hire opportunity with our client. As a trusted partner in the construction industry, we connect top talent with top companies across the United States. 
Job Type: Direct Placement
Pay: $50,000 to $70,000 Per Year BOE

Responsibilities:
  • Modeling & Coordination 
    • Create and manage detailed 3D models of electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, etc.) in Revit or Navisworks.
    • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical trades to resolve clashes and design conflicts.
    • Generate shop drawings, sleeve layouts, and prefabrication drawings directly from models.
    • Update and maintain model versions throughout project phases.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with Project Managers, Field Superintendents, and Design Engineers to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
    • Supports the BIM Specialist with the aforementioned tasks
    • Participate in coordination meetings and BIM clash detection sessions.
    • Communicate model changes and updates to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Quality & Data Management
    • Maintain consistent modeling standards, file structures, and naming conventions.
    • Ensure that all deliverables meet company BIM standards and project-specific requirements.
    • Support the development of BIM templates, libraries, and standard workflows.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide technical assistance to project teams regarding model navigation and use.
    • Assist in implementing new BIM technologies or workflows.
    • Support fabrication coordination, including exporting model data for prefabrication or field layout.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Commercial/Industrial electrical
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard for prolonged periods
  • Regularly spend multiple hours using and looking at a computer screen.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required occasionally
  • May need to occasionally travel to job sites.
Pay Transparency
