Job description

Technical Administrative Assistant

Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas, Inc is looking to hire a Technical Administrative Assistant who is bilingual Japanese. The Technical Administrative Assistant will support both the Tire Testing and Tire Development teams in helping them with translation, interpretation, daily administrative tasks, as well as managing the purchasing and ordering activities for the department. This position will report to the head of the R&D department which is located in White, Georgia.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following:

Provide daily administrative support to TTHA R&D Department to include:

  • Prepare travel arrangements for R&D personnel and visiting members.
  • Arrange appointments/meetings for both internal and external personnel/customers.
  • Greet guests, handle incoming and screened phone calls, address regular inquiries for information, and record meeting notes as necessary.
  • Maintain hard and electronic office files and records.
  • Maintain office inventory and stocks of office/testing room supplies.
  • Assist the supervisor to monitor and record expenditure/disbursement of funds.

Provide support Tire Development team and Tire Testing team to include:

  • Support 3rd party tire testing management (PO, Tire Shipping, Quote, Invoice, Budget, etc.)
  • Assist in creating and translating Technical Documents (Tire Spec, Testing Procedure, SOP, etc.)
  • Provide interpretation services for meetings, discussions, and business-related activities involving parties from different countries.
  • Establish and maintain a technical library of specifications, standards, procedures, and documents.

Provide support to Japanese expatriates to help them adjust to their surroundings during their visits, residences, and work assignments in TNA, White, Georgia, USA.

Other duties may be assigned.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree preferred, minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role. Language Skills Fluent in both English and Japanese languages. Proficient in delivering information effectively during individual and small group interactions with organization members, using both Japanese and English languages.
