About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bid & Proposal Writer to develop high-quality bids, proposals, and tender submissions for the Government of Canada. This role is ideal for someone with some experience responding to government solicitations who is eager to learn and grow. They would be ready to take ownership of end-to-end proposal development and bid responses, manage responses independently, and contribute to improving bid processes and win strategies.

We’re looking for someone personable, relationship-focused, and proactive; someone who can build and maintain trusted connections with our consultants while thriving in a small, close-knit, supportive team.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and review Government of Canada proposals, RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations
  • Take ownership of assigned bid sections from initial outline through to final submission
  • Translate complex information into clear, persuasive, and compliant responses
  • Ensure proposals fully meet federal RFP requirements and scoring guidelines
  • Contribute to win themes, value propositions, and federal bid strategies
  • Maintain and improve bid libraries, templates, and standard content
  • Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage on-contract resources and maintain strong, trusted consultant relationships

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree
  • 1 - 3 years producing professional bid responses and proposals
  • Strong written communication, grammar, and attention to detail
  • Experience interpreting federal government RFPs and evaluation criteria
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at various levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain trusted relationships with consultants and internal teams
  • Technical or business writing experience
  • Works independently in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat / PDF tools

Desirable:

  • SharePoint
  • Excel's pivot tables functions
  • Knowledge of the Government of Canada procurement and scoring methodologies
  • Familiarity with bid management tools or CRMs
