POSITION: HSU Workstudy Library - Circulation Student Worker
DEPARTMENT: Library
SUPERVISOR TITLE: User Services and Electronic Resources Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Abilene
TARGET HIRE DATE: 8/24/2026

SUMMARY/SCOPE: This job is responsible for making sure patrons can find, checkout, and return items they are searching for. A large part of this job is customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer service to patrons that come into the library including: answering the phone and chat, shelving books, checking out/discharging items, and other duties as assigned.
Must be available for daytime, nighttime Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Work schedules are determined based on student availability and the staffing needs of the department.
Must be punctual and show up for assigned shifts.
On the job training for special software and laminating services will be provided.
