Job description

Position Overview

Washington Township School District is seeking a dedicated Library Media Specialist to serve our PreK6 community across two elementary school buildings. The Library Media Specialist is responsible for developing and managing a vibrant, student-centered library program that promotes literacy, inquiry, and a lifelong love of learning. Core responsibilities include teaching scheduled media classes to students in grades PreK6, delivering direct instruction in information literacy, research skills, digital citizenship, and media production. The successful candidate will collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate library and media skills across content areas, manage and curate print and digital collections, and support instructional technology initiatives throughout the district.

Certification Requirements

Applicants must hold, or be eligible to hold, a New Jersey Standard Certificate with a Library Media Specialist endorsement. A Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) is acceptable.
