Wage: $14.00
Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Circulation Assistant to join our team at the Middlefield Library. The ideal candidate will assist with the daily operations of our library's circulation desk, providing excellent customer service to patrons and supporting library staff in maintaining an efficient and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Check materials in and out using the library's circulation system.
  • Assist patrons with locating materials and answering basic inquiries.
  • Register new library members and update patron records.
  • Handle fines, fees, and payments accurately.
  • Reshelve returned materials and maintain orderly shelves.
  • Prepare and process holds, interlibrary loans, and reserves.
  • Maintain a clean and organized circulation area.
  • Collaborate with library staff to support special events and programs as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
