Company Information:
W. Gohman Construction Co. has been a general contractor for over 75 years; we started there and we continue that rich tradition today. We self -perform many services throughout Central MN including all aspects of commercial construction, concrete, stone masonry, equipment installation/relocation, millwright, framing, drywall, carpentry, doors/hardware and light demolition.
Recent projects include the St. Cloud Public Library, the St. Cloud YMCA, and Blattner Energy Addition.
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Team.
Job Summary:
Our Carpenters are responsible for providing assistance to Job Superintendents in a wide variety of construction functions, and for performing assigned construction functions independently.
Job Duties:
  • Performs a variety of carpentry functions independently and as assigned.
    • Reads and interprets blueprints, specs, and detailed instructions, and reviews interpretations with superintendent.
  • Prepares fundamental layouts, subject to review by superintendent.
  • Trains and directs the efforts of Construction Assistants as assigned
  • Operates a variety of equipment as assigned, i.e., bobcat, scissor jack, etc., as directed.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Possesses, provides and maintains the hand tools necessary to perform the responsibilities of this position.
  • Performs other related work as needed.
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team

Qualifications:
  • High School or G.E.D.
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Commercial Carpentry or related industry experience.
