Library Circulation Student Assistant - Monday through Thursday noon to 5pm
Position Summary
This position is required to work:
Monday through Thursday noon to 5pm
  • Provide clerical and receptionist support for the West library.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Process incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Provide basic computer and copier assistance.
  • Shelving of books and materials.
  • Inventory books and materials to maintain good order of the stacks.
  • Cleaning throughout the library.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive and able to engage with a diverse constituency.
  • Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Some college preferred

Experience
  • Computer experience
  • Experience in a higher education setting preferred
