Job description

Position Description
A student enrolled in an institution of higher education employed to perform work as assigned by the supervisor.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Maneuver carts in order to gather, transport, and re-shelve library materials on shelves ranging from 0 to 7 feet high
  • Check library materials in and out during shift
  • Complete any special projects assigned to and given by student assistant manager
  • Prepare material lists for librarians and supervisors
  • Maintain printers by stocking with paper, adding toner, and clearing paper jams
  • Answer the phone and respond to inquiries
  • Process new materials by stamping, affixing call numbers, and inspecting item for any defects
  • Process credit card payments and provide itemized receipts
  • Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position
  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes
  • Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP's values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
