Regis Jesuit High School is seeking Library Administrative Assistant.The start date for this position is August 6. The work schedule is 8 hours per day on student contact days, 8 hours per day on the five days before school begins and five days after the end of school, and full days on professional contact days as directed. The Library Assistant supports the Head Librarian in creating and maintaining a welcoming, organized, and engaging library program that serves students, faculty, and staff. This role helps ensure daily library operations run smoothly while contributing to a positive and student-centered environment.
Essential Job Functions (Responsibilities)

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and student-centered library environment
  • Assist with student supervision and maintain a productive, respectful space
  • Support students and staff in locating and evaluating information resources across library databases, catalogs, and digital tools
  • Collaborate with library staff and faculty to support student learning
  • Assist with library programming, events, and displays
  • Assist with the circulation and management of library resources, including print and digital materials
  • Support inventory, shelving, and organization of materials
  • Maintain accurate records and complete tasks with attention to detail
  • Provide basic technology support (printing, devices, etc.)
  • Create and manage documents using Microsoft software and other digital tools
  • Adapt to a variety of daily responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Support the library’s role in fostering lifelong learning and student engagement
  • Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and grow within the library program

  • Experience in customer service or student-facing role, preferably in an educational setting
