Job Summary:
LexisNexis Risk Solutions provides advanced technology and analytics to help organizations evaluate and predict risk. The Director, Life UW Solutions will drive innovation and develop new product offerings to support growth in the Life Insurance vertical, collaborating across various teams to bring solutions from concept to commercialization.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the strategic vision, positioning, and roadmap for Life New Business and Underwriting solutions
• Lead innovation initiatives and the development of new product offerings from concept through commercialization
• Conduct customer discovery research, competitive assessments, and market intelligence analysis to identify emerging opportunities
• Define pricing models, solution packaging, and go-to-market strategies for new and existing offerings
• Partner with Product, Technology, Business Process Management, and New Product Execution teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Establish market thought leadership through industry speaking engagements, presentations, and authored communications
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders
• Collaborate with Client Engagement teams to drive revenue growth and identify new business opportunities
• Support strategic partnership, merger, and acquisition activities aligned with the vertical strategy
• Communicate evolving market trends and strategic direction internally and externally
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10–12+ years of experience within Life Insurance, underwriting, InsurTech, or related B2B data and analytics environments
• Strong understanding of Life Insurance new business and underwriting processes, market trends, and customer challenges
• Proven experience driving product development, innovation, and commercialization initiatives
• Experience influencing business strategy, revenue growth, and product positioning within a commercial environment
• Strong executive presence with experience presenting to senior leadership and speaking at industry events
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a highly motivated self-starter in a fast-paced environment
• Experience collaborating across product, sales, technology, and marketing organizations
• Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder influencing skills
Preferred:
• Familiarity with P&L ownership or contributing to strategic business growth initiatives
• Background in insurance, financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industries
