Job description

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Aviation Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly regarded team handling complex aviation litigation. The position offers flexibility, with the option to work in a hybrid or fully remote capacity within California, while collaborating with a dynamic and globally connected legal team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed analyses
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Interview clients, eyewitnesses, and other relevant parties
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reporting to clients regarding case status and strategy
  • Engage in significant direct communication with clients and insurers
  • Assist in all phases of case development, litigation strategy, and trial preparation
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives with efficiency and precision


Candidate Profile

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 3-5 years of substantive litigation experience
  • Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal briefs
  • Strong legal research skills using platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, or Nexis
  • Experience preparing correspondence, opinion letters, and client reports
  • Ability to manage document review and discovery processes
  • Courtroom exposure, including depositions, hearings, and mediations, is preferred
  • Aviation industry experience is a plus
  • Federal court admission is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
