A well-established Tampa-based civil litigation law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney - Personal Injury

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from inception through resolution.

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to inform case strategy.

  • Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and court filings.

  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.

  • Represent clients at hearings, inspections, mediations, and trial.

  • Actively participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.

  • Stay current with changes in case law, procedural rules, and industry developments.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure strategic alignment and case readiness.

  • Maintain accurate time records and meet billable hour requirements (minimum 150 hours/month).

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.

  • At least 5 years of experience practicing personal injury law.

  • Must have tried a minimum of three cases.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge of insurance defense case law.

  • Demonstrated experience handling all phases of trial litigation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis).
