Lexis Associates are often experts in utilizing legal research platforms to find and interpret relevant legal information efficiently. Job description

Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate #5532

Las Vegas, NV  |  3+ Years' Coverage Litigation Experience

One of the most respected insurance-focused firms in the world is looking to add a coverage litigation associate to its Las Vegas team. This isn't a general practice shop that dabbles in insurance work on the side — insurance and reinsurance is the core of what this firm has built its reputation on for nearly a century, with a coverage disputes practice in the U.S. that's earned Chambers rankings and a global footprint spanning more than 70 offices across six continents. When you work here, you're handling the kind of complex, high-stakes coverage matters that other firms wish landed on their desk.

They're looking for someone with 3+ years of solid coverage litigation experience — proactive, organized, and comfortable working with real autonomy. If you're licensed in Nevada, know your way around a coverage opinion, and want to be part of a team that's genuinely one of the best in this space, this is worth a conversation.

What You'd Be Handling

•    Drafting pleadings, briefs, and coverage opinions that carry real weight

•    Preparing and responding to written discovery

•    Analyzing insurance policies and advising clients on coverage positions

•    Conducting legal research using Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis

•    Reviewing documents and building case strategy ahead of litigation

•    Taking and defending depositions, and attending hearings and mediations

•    Preparing court filings and submissions

•    Corresponding directly with clients and colleagues on active matters

What You Bring

•    Licensed to practice in Nevada (additional state admissions are a plus)

•    3+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience

•    Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

•    Comfort handling sensitive, time-sensitive matters and juggling multiple projects at once

•    Sharp instincts for spotting problems early and solving them

•    A strong work ethic, sharp attention to detail, and a team-first mindset

Why This One's Worth a Look

The base role is only part of the story. This firm backs it up with a compensation and benefits package built to actually reward the hours you put in:

•    A monthly incentive plan on top of your regular bonus — hit your billable-hour targets and you can pick up an extra $1,000 to $2,000 a month

•    An annual bonus structure that scales with your hours, reaching as high as 35% of your base salary at the top tier

•    Flexible PTO — attorneys are trusted to use their own judgment on time off

•    Student loan repayment support: $250 a month, non-taxable, toward qualifying education loans

•    Generous referral bonuses for bringing strong people onto the team

•    Real mentorship and global training programs to support your growth

•    A $300 annual wellness stipend plus a dedicated Wellbeing Day, fully off the clock

•    Six months of fully paid parental leave for all parents, regardless of gender or path to parenthood

•    A global mobility program, with opportunities tied to offices and client work across North America and beyond

•    Retirement benefits that start on day one and are 100% vested from the start
