Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of Big Blue and leading our Swim Associates to success. This role helps ensure classes run smoothly while upholding the Big Blue processes and procedures. The Assistant Manager reports directly to the General Manager and helps deliver an exception experience for our students, families, and team members.
Salary Range: $ 50,000 - $55,000
The listed salary range represents the anticipated compensation for this role. Final offers will depend on a candidate’s experience and how closely their background aligns with the position requirements. Most new hires typically begin near the lower end of the range.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily monitoring and review of student progress, check box completion, and move ups to ensure appropriate progression
  • Communicate with parents/customers on a regular basis to provide appropriate status updates and a high level of customer service
  • Coach and instruct teachers in providing safe and effective swim lessons
  • Ensure teachers are adhering to Big Blue Swim School principles and curriculum
  • Enforce all safety procedures and required certifications
  • Ensure efficient building operations including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations
  • Assist the General Manager with daily operations and team support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Previous management or supervisory experience highly preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Lifeguard, CPR, CPO certifications preferred
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Must possess the ability to communicate and respond to student and customer interactions
  • Ability to work in the pool as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly move throughout the facility to continuously interact with customers and staff
