Strategic Ventures is currently recruiting a Legislative Affairs Specialist to join our team at Ft. Meade, MD.


The most qualified candidate will:

  • Review and analyze congressional hearing transcripts and prepare/submit Questions for the Record (QFR) and Inserts for the Record (IFR)
  • Research and write background papers, talking points, and written and oral statements, to include providing legislative briefings to leadership
  • Prepare USCYBERCOM leadership for testifying to Congress and meeting with members of Congress and with pertinent Congressional Committee Staff Members
  • Exhibit in-depth understanding of legislative and regulatory documents and an in-depth knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of experience providing legal administrative support for programs/contracts, and / or legislative affairs support, and or department-level planning/ execution support
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills
