Legislative Liaison
Location: McLean, VA
Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Poly
Position Overview
At JMark, staying ahead of legislative developments is mission-critical to supporting the Intelligence Community (IC). We are seeking Legislative Liaisons across multiple discipline levels to monitor and analyze Congressional activities, provide timely updates, and drive effective outreach and engagement between the ODNI and Congress. This role requires deep knowledge of Congressional processes, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to translate legislative actions into actionable intelligence for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Legislative Monitoring & Analysis
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret Congressional activities, statements, and legislation (draft and final) impacting the IC.
  • Deliver real-time or near-real-time alerts on legislative developments to enable proactive responses.

Congressional Engagement & Outreach
  • Develop and support outreach and engagement plans that identify IC activities requiring communication with Congress.
  • Prepare ODNI staff for Hill interactions, including drafting talking points, developing materials, and reviewing content for accuracy and consistency.

Briefing Preparation & Strategic Support
  • Craft clear, concise, and mission-aligned materials for Congressional briefings and engagements.
  • Ensure legislative communications are accurate, timely, and strategically aligned with IC priorities.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or related field.
  • 0-15+ years of experience in legislative affairs, Congressional relations, or government liaison roles (multi-discipline levels available).
  • Strong understanding of Congressional processes, legislative drafting, and IC-relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, time-sensitive updates.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting ODNI, IC, or DoD legislative operations.
  • Familiarity with intelligence oversight committees and Hill briefing protocols.
