All of our job roles are designed to match skilled legal support professionals with collaborative teams where they can manage competing priorities effectively and contribute to high-quality legal services.
What You Will Do
As a Legal Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on the practice group, but core duties generally include:
  • Document Preparation: Drafting and formatting professional correspondence, court pleadings, or transactional documents.
  • Case & Deal Management: Working closely with attorneys to manage case deadlines, docket court scheduling orders, or assist in assembling documents for deal closings and maintaining corporate minute books.
  • Filing & Organization: Taking ownership of electronically filing litigation documents with state and federal courts (e-filing), or managing electronic client files and pleadings indices.
  • Administrative Support: Arranging meetings, depositions, and conferences, managing calendars, and handling travel arrangements or expense reports.
  • Client Communication: Acting as a professional liaison between attorneys and clients to facilitate communication and the transmittal of necessary information.

  • Education: A background in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a relevant educational certificate/degree is highly preferred.
  • Core Skills: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, alongside meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: The ability to support multiple busy attorneys with different work styles while managing competing priorities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with standard legal technology stacks, which may include:
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Document management systems (e.g., iManage).
    • Billing and time-entry software (e.g., InTapp).
    • Electronic court filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF) for litigation-focused candidates.

Why Join Our Talent Network?
By applying to this evergreen role, you will be considered for a variety of current open positions and upcoming positions that match your specific expertise, whether that entails taking ownership of state and federal e-filing or supporting high-volume transactional and closing work.
