Job description

Position Title: Hybrid Legal Operations Manager
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000+ / Year DOE
Are you looking for an opportunity to move beyond traditional office management and become a true operational leader? This Legal Operations Manager position offers the chance to work directly with firm leadership, oversee critical business functions, and help drive the continued growth of a highly respected boutique law firm. You'll have visibility across finance, billing, HR, compliance, vendor management, and strategic initiatives while serving as a key member of the leadership team.
This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making a measurable impact. You'll thrive in a collaborative, low-ego environment where your expertise is valued, your ideas are welcomed, and your contributions directly support the success of the firm.
Legal Operations Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payment reconciliations
  • Prepare financial reports, including aging and tax reports
  • Manage the entire billing process, including invoices and collections
  • Supervise the e-billing function and learn the e-billing process
  • Direct the employee responsible for e-billing
  • Manage company expenses and pay vendor invoices
  • Coordinate with IT, internet, facilities, insurance providers, and other service vendors
  • Process payroll through ADP, including overtime and vacation tracking
  • Track attorney bar dues and continuing legal education (CLE) requirements
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding employees
  • Serve as a key member of the firm's leadership team
  • Lead special projects throughout the year

Legal Operations Manager Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of operations, office management, legal administration, or law firm management experience
  • Experience with legal billing and e-billing systems
  • Experience with accounts receivable and invoice generation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required
  • High school diploma is required
  • Law firm experience is preferred
  • Experience with Panther legal software is preferred
  • Familiarity with billing platforms such as Legal-X, Legal Exchange, Legal Tracker, and T-360 is preferred
