Job description

A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support client invoicing, electronic billing, and related billing functions. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hybrid: 3 days in-office per week

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, and process client invoices and electronic bills.
  • Review time entries and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Submit invoices and monitor e-billing submissions.
  • Manage monthly accruals and fee quote requests.
  • Review new client and matter setups, billing rates, and retainer requirements.
  • Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys, staff, and clients.
  • Generate reports and provide billing-related support as needed.
  • Assist with attorney training on time entry procedures.

Qualifications

  • Prior law firm billing experience required.
  • Experience with electronic billing platforms; Elite 3E experience is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to occasionally accommodate after-hours billing needs.
