The Position

Wilson Elser's Connecticut offices are seeking a motivated and collaborative Attorney to join our litigation team in either our Stamford or Hartford office.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Associate Attorney, you will:

  • Independently manage an active litigation caseload.
  • Collaborate closely with partners, attorneys, and legal support staff on a variety of litigation matters.
  • Handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide timely case status updates.
  • Develop litigation strategy while delivering outstanding client service.

Qualifications

Successful candidates should possess:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
  • General liability litigation experience.
  • Experience handling products liability, trucking, and transportation matters.
  • Professional liability experience is preferred but not required.
  • Medical malpractice experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and legal project management skills.
  • The ability to independently manage a caseload while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality legal work.

Wilson Elser offers a competitive salary and benefits package designed to support our attorneys both professionally and personally.

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Salary Range:
$130,000—$170,000 USD
