Job description

The Legal Operations Specialist provides high quality, efficient legal administrative support within the Verisign Law Department for the achievement of Company goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently completes assignments in a cohesive, courteous and professional manner with members of the Law Department.ย  Assignments may include, without limitation, obtaining monthly estimates from Outside Counsel, working with attorneys on expense reporting, obtaining invoice approval, working with Procurement and Accounts Payable to ensure the timely processing on monthly invoices, maintaining outside counsel database, and working with Information Security on annual assessments
  • Works as a part of the Legal Operations team and provides direct support to the Manager, Legal Operations and other members of the Law Department team on an as-needed basis
  • Manages a variety of special projects as needed
  • Researches and follows up on legal issues as requested, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature.ย  Determines appropriate course of action, referral or response

ย Job Qualifications

  • Education - High School or GED; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Past work or internship experience
  • Administrative/office experience supporting employees (including senior and executive level) in professional organizations (e.g., law or accounting firm) where attention to detail is required, highly preferred
  • Ability to occasionally move files/documents weighing up to 15lbs
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $67,700 - $91,700.

The anticipated annualized base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
