Location: Indianapolis Office | 1 Indiana Sq #3500, Indianapolis, IN 46204
Schedule: Hybrid, 1-2 days in-office
We are seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join our client's finance department. This position provides an exciting opportunity to deliver essential administrative support to attorneys while enjoying remarkable benefits, a hybrid schedule, and a beautiful office environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive administrative support to attorneys.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Respond to requests promptly and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Create, review, and edit various documents (experience with document management systems like iManage is preferred).
  • Review, inventory, and save signature pages with accuracy.
  • Compile documents for closings using transaction checklists.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to prepare and assemble closing books for review.
  • Monitor deadlines and manage work processes efficiently.
  • Process payment and reimbursement requests accurately.
  • Maintain and organize files according to established information governance policies.
  • Assist with managing client contacts, emails, documents, and mail flow.
  • Provide excellent client service by greeting guests, scheduling meetings, and managing phone conferences.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of related legal experience in a law firm or legal environment.
  • Some education beyond high school or coursework in the legal field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong command of the English language with excellent grammar and writing skills.
