Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time diligent and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by assisting with administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of our office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Receive incoming documents and accurately log them into our database.
  • Prepare and organize legal documents for delivery to designated recipients.
  • Coordinate with process servers to ensure timely and proper delivery of legal documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of served documents and update the database accordingly.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, process servers, and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with general office duties, including answering phones, filing, and photocopying.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve administrative processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements related to process serving.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college education a plus
  • Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role, in a legal or professional services environment a plus, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
