Job description

The Leasing Manager at Printers Square is responsible for overseeing all leasing, marketing, and resident relations activities for this unique 62-unit multifamily property located in Baltimore's Mid-Town Belvedere neighborhood. This historic converted firehouse features 1-2 bedroom apartments with distinctive characteristics including exposed brick, oversized windows, and 9-14 foot ceilings. The Leasing Manager will work to achieve budgeted occupancy goals while maintaining high resident satisfaction and ensuring compliance with all fair housing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leasing Operations:
  • Oversee all aspects of leasing activities including prospect tours, application processing, lease execution, and move-in coordination.
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve and maintain budgeted occupancy levels.
  • Conduct effective apartment showings that highlight the property's unique features including historic architecture, fitness center, and proximity to MICA and Johns Hopkins Medical School campus.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all leasing documentation and resident files.
  • Monitor and maintain closing ratios, conversion rates, and traffic reports.
  • Audit lease files to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Marketing & Resident Retention:
  • Execute comprehensive marketing strategies to generate qualified prospect traffic.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of Printers Square and competitive properties in the Baltimore Mid-Town market.
  • Complete weekly market survey reports and adjust marketing tactics accordingly.
  • Develop and implement resident retention programs including resident events, special promotions, and communications.
  • Manage lease renewals and work to maximize resident retention rates.
Resident Relations & Customer Service.
  • Address resident complaints, concerns, and requests promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Enforce lease terms and community policies consistently and fairly.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely response to service request.
  • Foster positive community atmosphere and resident engagement.
Administrative Duties:
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on leasing activity, occupancy, and traffic metrics.
  • Maintain property management software with current information on availability, applications, and resident data.
  • Assist with budget planning related to marketing expenses and leasing operations.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure model-ready condition and identify maintenance needs.
  • Process rental applications and verify applicant information for accuracy.
Team Leadership:
  • Train and supervise leasing staff on effective leasing techniques, customer service standards, and company procedures.
  • Ensure staff compliance with Fair Housing Laws and company policies.
  • Promote quality job performance through support, coaching, and effective leadership.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of multifamily leasing or property management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and leasing regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills with proven closing ability.
  • Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • Familiarity with Baltimore rental market.
