A day in the life

This position will be based in Columbia, Maryland and play a key role on the team, responsible for partnering with assigned listing brokerage teams and taking a proactive approach to leasing and maximizing the value of the Prologis portfolio. This includes a deep understanding of the market dynamics, developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and customers, partnering with in-house property management and construction teams and leading the marketing strategy for Prologis' Maryland Market which totals over 13 million square feet.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrates extensive local market knowledge and strong external relationships including high visibility with key brokers and local real estate community. Establish a favorable market presence for Prologis by cultivating and maintaining a positive and professional relationship with the local brokerage and real estate communities, government officials and prospective customers.
  • Proficient in all areas of Leasing with minimal to no guidance with a commercial mindset with competitive drive and focus on maximizing revenues and branding for Prologis.
  • Partners with and assists Market Officer with capital deployment activities.
  • Coordinate construction of customer's spaces with project management team/OCM including space planning, construction estimating, etc. Interface with OCM and architects, engineers, general contractors and other consultants to ensure smooth transition for customers.
  • Work with Market leadership to identify, negotiate and execute on acquisition targets and new business initiatives. Helps source new acquisitions/development opportunities and participate in underwriting and due diligence.
  • Shows proficiency with prioritizing performance on Essentials Sales (ESM Partnership), leasing related data KPI's, leasing related Customer Centricity, Change through Innovation & Operational Excellence and Culture & Talent Initiatives.
  • Direct oversight of support staff to ensure quality work is being generated while adhering to company policies and standards.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 7+ Years of experience of experience in asset management, leasing and brokerage field and related business experience in connection with the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of commercial leases/contracts.
  • Must have a current Real Estate sales license in the State of Maryland or be able to obtain a license within six months of commencing employment. Please note that the company will cover relevant, associated costs and will consider the reasonable time spent acquiring the license as part of work hours.
  • Strong communication skills, decisiveness, and gravitas. Cultivates strong partnerships with peers and stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Drive for results - A proven ability to meet targeted goals and objectives, bottom line oriented, push self and others for results.
  • Strong background in institutional real estate and investments.
  • Extensive transaction experience. Deal closer.
  • Proven track record in analyzing, underwriting, negotiating and closing commercial real estate.
  • PC Proficiency to include but not limited to MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.),

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate or related field.
  • Proficiency of SalesForce CRM, and ability to learn company specific software.
  • Demonstrate willingness and capability toleverageemerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercise sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

  • Experience in property management and real estate development.

Hiring Salary Range of: $151,00 - $205,000 . Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
