Job Summary

The IT Manager will lead IT strategy, infrastructure, and support for multiple law firmsoperatingin both Canada and the United States, with a focus on cybersecurity, data protection, M&A integration, and reliable service delivery. This role reports tothe Vice President, Corporate Technologyat Litco LSO and involves hands-on management of vendors, projects, and teams to drive efficiency, standardization, and security acrossjurisdictionsas new firms are onboarded into our environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT infrastructure including networks, servers, Azure services, Active Directory/Entra ID, backup and recovery platforms, and Microsoft 365 tenant administration for Canadian and U.S. offices.
  • Administer andoptimizeLitco LSO's core tool stack: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Azure,Filevine, Sage Intacct, Sophos, and related integrations.
  • Contribute toIT due diligence and technical integration activities for mergers and acquisitions, assessing incoming firms' environments
  • Executeintegrationroadmaps for each new firm, including identity, email, document management, line-of-business applications, networks, security tools, and end-user devices.
  • Manage endpoint protection and security using Sophos and other security tools, including configuration, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Manage procurement, asset tracking, hardware/software licensing, vendor relationships, and IT spend across multiple firms and regions.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives: MFA, encryption, endpoint protection, security monitoring, penetration test remediation, and ongoing security awareness training.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable privacy, data residency, and professional obligations in Canada and the United States, collaborating with leadership and external partners as needed.
  • Own the IT service desk function, including incident, request, and change management, onboarding/offboarding, and escalations-especially during new firm integrations.
  • Develop,maintain, and enforce IT policies, SOPs, disaster recovery plans, and documentationthat scale as new firms areacquired.


Required Qualifications

    • Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, including:
      • Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
      • Azure and Azure AD/Entra ID and related security controls
      • Windows Server and Windows desktop environments
    • Hands-on experience managing and supporting:
      • Sage Intacct (in coordination with Finance)
      • Security tooling, particularly Sophos
    • One or more current Microsoft certifications.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site or multi-entity environments, ideally spanning both Canada and the United States.
    • Experience assisting with technical integrations for mergers, acquisitions, or major consolidations (e.g., tenant consolidations, system migrations, and standardization projects).
    • Solid understanding of information security best practices and frameworks; experience working with regulatory and privacy requirements in Canada and the U.S.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build strong relationships with firm leadership.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
