Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the facility, including the restrooms, common areas (e.g. kitchen, breakroom, conference room, etc.), and offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
  • Clean assigned areas including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning trim, empty wastebaskets, etc. to ensure facility is clean and neat
  • Ensure there is appropriate supplies on hand to perform all assigned cleaning duties, report supplies that are low in supply to the supervisor
  • Provide help in areas when needed, such as the kitchen
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, develop improvement, present to appropriate personnel, and lead or participate in the implementation of improvement
  • Wear personal protective equipment in all areas where required
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • None. This is an individual contributor role with required competencies: Functional/Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, and Interpersonal Savvy

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to fluently communicate effectively both up and down the chain of command and with external customers when needed in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
  • Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work Non-standard shifts (Holiday, Weekend, extended) as needed per business need
  • Ability to move about the facility including stooping, bending, grasping
